Queues in Ravenna help teams organize, track, and resolve incoming requests. But over time, some queues become outdated. Maybe a process changed, a team was restructured, or a project wrapped up.
When it came time to clean things up, deleting those old queues wasn’t as easy as it should’ve been. So we fixed that.
What Is It
Ravenna now helps you gracefully remove Queues that still have active tickets. Instead of blocking the deletion outright, we’ll prompt you to move any remaining tickets to another queue before completing the deletion.
No manual hunting, no dead ends, just a smoother, more guided experience.
Why We Built It
Previously, trying to delete a queue with active tickets led to frustration. Ravenna simply wouldn’t allow it, and users had to track down every individual ticket and move it manually. That slowed down cleanups and led to unnecessary friction for ops teams trying to stay organized.
We believe good tools should get out of your way, especially when you’re doing something as simple as cleaning house. This update makes queue management faster, cleaner, and more intuitive.
What You Can Do With It
This update is perfect for:
Team reorganizations: Easily sunset old queues and redirect tickets to new ones without disruption.
Process improvements: Retire queues from outdated workflows while preserving active work.
Routine cleanup: Keep your workspace tidy and focused, without spending time on manual ticket triage.
You’ll be prompted to choose a destination queue for any remaining tickets, and Ravenna will take care of the rest.
A Small Fix That Makes a Big Difference
Smarter queue deletion is now live and available to all users. It’s a subtle improvement, but one that saves time and reduces friction, especially for ops and admin teams managing complex workflows.
As always, we’re listening closely to feedback. Let us know what else would make Queue management even better.
