Filter Select Resources in Form Fields

We’ve added support for allowlisting resources in forms, giving admins more control over which resources can appear as selectable options in request forms. 

Why we built it

Customers asked for fine grain control over form inputs to avoid confusion and clutter. In some cases, forms can present too many irrelevant or invalid options, which slows down requests and can lead to mistakes. Allowlisting makes it easier to present only the right choices, giving admins more control while making the requester a simpler experience.

What you can do with it

With this update, you can restrict fields to a specific set of approved applications, users, or tags, tailoring each form to its intended use case. This reduces errors, speeds up requests, and ensures forms stay consistent with your governance rules. 

Getting started 

To leverage this feature, add a Tags for field to a request type, and click on the Allowlist option to filter the list of tags that will be available for selection by your end users. We will be adding support for filtering additional resources over the next few weeks.
