We’ve introduced a new Custom Prompt Workflow Action, a powerful way to embed AI reasoning directly into your Ravenna workflows.
Why we built it
We built this because customers asked for generative capabilities directly in Ravenna workflows. Take a simple request like “My computer is running slow.” With Ravenna’s existing Fleet integration, a workflow could already query diagnostic information using Fleet actions. But until now, there was no simple way to turn that raw data into a friendly, human-readable response for the user. The new Prompt action closes that gap, letting you use AI to interpret results, explain findings, and respond naturally, all within the same workflow.
What you can do with it
By adding a Prompt action, you can make your workflows smarter and more conversational. Summarize a user’s request before routing it to the right team. Generate personalized replies that adapt to context. Automatically draft follow-up steps or recommendations based on prior messages or data. It’s a flexible building block for making your automations feel more human, more helpful, and more complete.
